Affects the series:
AS-Professional, AS-Megaforce, AS-Mini, AS-ECO and AS-Complete. The individual parts of those series consist of different consist of different material combinations.
The standard materials are, e.g.:
- Galvanised and passivized steel
- Blank brass
- Blank light metal
Therefore, the corresponding Cablelock operating instructions expressly state:
"Cablelock parts are rust-protected, but NOT suitable for use in moist conditions!"
Due to the many possible causes (acid rain, "standing water", surface damage during installation, unsuitable = moist storage, and many others), as well as possible reactions of the different metals with each other, any warranty of the manufacturer regarding corrosion (white rust and/or red rust, etc.) is excluded!
The manufacturer expressly advises against use outdoors, in "weathered environment" and in areas subject to increased humidity or increased contamination with hazardous substances!
EXCEPTION Corrosion at the time of delivery:
The warranty exclusion regarding corrosion of course does not limit the right to defect-free delivery! Any corrosion defects at the time of delivery must, however, be reported without delay.
FURTHER Exceptions:
The series AS-INOX-PRO and AS-INOX-ECO!
These series consist of STAINLESS STEEL (AISI 303 and AISI 316) and were specially developed for the use in moist conditions (AISI 303) and/or aggressive environment (AISI 316).
FURTHER Exceptions:
The series PS-Powerschlingen.
This series consists of the following material combination:
stainless steel/light metal/brass.
Therefore they are suitable for outdoor applications.

As explicitly stated in all catalogues and operating instructions, the Cablelock retaining systems are safety devices to be used in hydraulic systems. The specified values (max. operating pressure) therefore always refer to applications with non-compressible fluids.
The effectiveness of a use with compressible fluids/media (air, gases, etc.) was not explicitly tested. As a result, the warranty is explicitly excluded across the entire pressure range for such applications (compressible fluids/media).
